The Financial Crime Compliance Manager (Quality Control) role sits within Revolut's Financial Crime team, which combines regulatory expertise with data-driven approaches to ensure products meet legal requirements while delivering customer value. This is a hands-on management position overseeing quality control operations across financial crime compliance. Key responsibilities include: - Executing structured quality control testing and file sampling frameworks to validate work quality from external outsourced operational partners - Conducting targeted quality reviews on higher-risk scenarios and testing against agreed quarterly alert volumes - Communicating clear, actionable observations and feedback from assurance reviews to product owners - Verifying that controls exist and are properly documented to meet regulatory requirements - Identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements, process enhancement, and company standards - Reviewing quality and documentation of decisions across first and second lines of defense, including portfolios covering Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs), Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), enhanced due diligence, sanctions, and crypto Required qualifications: - 2+ years of hands-on experience in financial crime (AML/CTF) across lines of defense, with proven track record in quality control, quality assurance, or file auditing - Experience in fintech, traditional financial institutions, or regulatory bodies - Ability to interpret laws and regulations, particularly the Australian Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 - Strong communication skills for detailing risks, gaps, and issues in compliance work reviews - Knowledge of best-practice FinCrime controls and risk-assurance methodologies - Results-driven, pragmatic, detail-oriented approach - Fluency in English Nice-to-have qualifications include degrees in law, business, commerce, or economics; compliance-focused experience; knowledge of sanction regimes and PEP regulations; expertise in AML transaction monitoring; experience in audit or assurance; and relevant certifications such as ACAMS or ICA.
