Revolut is seeking a Financial Crime Compliance Manager to join its second line of defence and oversee financial crime activity across its operations. This role is critical to ensuring the fintech platform meets regulatory requirements while maintaining its rapid growth trajectory.
Key responsibilities include defining and documenting the local financial crime and AML programme; partnering with senior managers to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory compliance risks; establishing and maintaining customer identification and verification standards to meet AML compliance requirements; and assisting with suspicious activity reporting, including internal coordination and external submissions to regulators and law enforcement.
You will communicate with staff to promote understanding of financial crime responsibilities, support effective training on Revolut policies and procedures, and escalate suspicious activity through appropriate channels. The role involves responding to enquiries from law enforcement agencies, acting as a liaison with local authorities, and supporting regulatory filings with the local Financial Intelligence Unit.
Additionally, you will support business teams with the launch of new features by assessing AML and regulatory compliance requirements, and collaborate with internal compliance teams to identify regulatory risks and provide recommendations.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in a relevant compliance or financial crime role, with deep knowledge of best practices in financial services regulation, fraud detection methodologies, and emerging financial crime typologies. You must have in-depth understanding of financial crime and AML policies, procedures, and control arrangements in complex financial operations, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and in-depth knowledge of the Romanian and EU regulatory environment. Fluency in both English and Romanian is required.
