Believe, a global artist development company operating in 50+ countries with 2,000+ employees, is seeking a Financial Core Model Manager to lead post-merger integration efforts. The Finance Core Model is currently under construction, and this role serves as an expert service provider to the Finance Executive Committee (Codir).
You will own two primary missions: (1) securing the subsidiary's integration trajectory through rigorous gap analyses, designing compliance solutions, and technically validating integration quality prior to switchover; and (2) ensuring continuous upstream alignment with the Finance Codir and its experts that deployment and alignment proposals match the Group's target orientations.
Key responsibilities include:
**Alignment & Governance**: Act as the operational relay for the Finance Codir during integration, adapting escalation levels to subject complexity. Continuously align proposed integration trajectories with the latest Core Model evolutions. Submit gap analyses for Codir validation. Maintain autonomy over standard gaps (e.g., process alignment, minor local configurations) while structuring complex gaps (regulatory constraints, major IS impacts, derogatory accounting schemes) for expert validation before local sign-off.
**Fit-Gap Analysis**: Lead diagnostic workshops with the subsidiary to map existing processes, tools, and local regulations. Identify and formalize gaps against Core Model ambitions. Draft and document required compliance workstreams.
**Workaround Design**: Co-build target solutions and temporary/permanent workarounds with the subsidiary and Finance IS team. Obtain Finance Codir validation before implementation.
**Testing & Quality**: Define functional testing strategy (UAT) for subsidiary financial flows. Validate technical and regulatory compliance of data before Go-Live, with technical veto authority over the switchover milestone. Escalate local specificities and innovations to feed continuous improvement of the Group Core Model.
