Otrium is seeking a Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting operations. You will drive financial integrity and operational efficiency across the organization's growth phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own daily SG&A financial operations and payment ecosystems, ensuring seamless transaction flows and adherence to internal controls
- Deliver month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals management
- Optimize working capital and monitor aged balances to support healthy cash flow and vendor relationships
- Lead the yearly audit process, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables; collaborate on audit preparation and statutory financial requirements
- Support tax compliance (VAT) by maintaining documentation and preparing quarterly returns
- Own corporate income tax (CIT) return preparation and coordination
- Coordinate Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation preparation with tax advisors
- Coach and mentor junior team members on daily tasks and professional development
- Drive process improvements by leveraging AI and automation to scale financial operations
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced scale-up or tech environment
- Recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, RA, or equivalent)
- Experience auditing or preparing financial statements under Dutch GAAP
- Strong technical knowledge of Dutch taxation and accounting standards
- Proven track record in tax compliance (VAT and CIT)
- Advanced Excel skills; NetSuite proficiency highly preferred
- Proactive mindset focused on leveraging technology for process efficiency
- Excellent communication skills with mentoring ability
- Fluent in English
