Brightside Health is seeking a Financial Assistant to serve as a trusted financial coach for working families. You will manage a portfolio of clients, building relationships and providing personalized financial guidance on debt reduction, credit strengthening, cash flow management, savings building, and long-term financial planning. Key responsibilities include: - Engage with clients via phone, chat, and email to understand their financial goals, motivations, and barriers to progress - Support clients through financial crises (eviction, housing/food insecurity, unexpected income loss) with compassionate guidance and resource connections - Evaluate each client's financial picture and provide relevant financial education and coaching using critical thinking and problem-solving - Research company-approved financial resources and options to support budgeting, debt reduction, savings, and other goals - Help clients create practical action plans for immediate needs and longer-term financial well-being - Serve as an accountability partner throughout the client relationship This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a schedule of 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. PT. You will participate in an approximately six-week training and onboarding program before working with clients independently, with dedicated support throughout to ensure confidence and readiness. Requirements: - Genuine desire to reduce financial stress and improve financial health of working families - Experience in a customer- or client-facing role with demonstrated examples of improving a client's situation - Experience in banking, financial planning, credit counseling, or financial services preferred but not required - Empathetic, nonjudgmental approach to serving others - Strong communication skills and ability to build trust remotely through phone, chat, and email - Critical-thinking skills and ability to collect, synthesize, interpret, and evaluate information - Comfort using technology (Google Workspace, Chrome, Slack, and similar platforms) - Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries while supporting clients through difficult circumstances - Growth-oriented mindset and ability to quickly apply new information in a changing environment - Ability to connect dots, recognize unstated needs, and simplify complex information - Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment with evolving priorities - Reliable high-speed internet and secure home workspace meeting Brightside's technical and security requirements - Must reside in contiguous United States in a location where Brightside is authorized to employ
