GrayMatter Robotics is a well-capitalized Physical AI company building Factory SuperIntelligence through autonomous robotic systems deployed in active manufacturing production today. The company operates a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, converting capital expenditure into operating subscriptions for manufacturers. As Financial Analyst, you will own the ground-level financial discipline that keeps the company's financial model trustworthy and actionable. You'll serve as the primary liaison between departments and finance leadership, ensuring spend data flows accurately into strategic planning. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct bi-weekly departmental spend reviews with all teams, identifying issues proactively - Track specific spend pools against budget and flag variances immediately to the Head of Finance - Feed accurate, current department spend data into the core financial model - Reconcile actual spend against budget and forecast on recurring basis - Follow up on outstanding invoices, purchase orders, and budget questions - Maintain organized spend records across departments in financial systems - Prepare recurring summaries of department spend trends - Support Head of Finance with ad hoc analysis and reporting - Leverage AI tools to automate recurring spend tracking and reporting tasks - Identify opportunities to streamline spend tracking and reporting processes You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field, plus 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting within FP&A, investment banking, or consulting. Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency required. You should have demonstrated experience using AI tools creatively for problem-solving, strong cash flow management expertise, and proven ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environments. Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems is essential. An MBA is preferred, as is experience with NetSuite, UKG, and Expensify.
