The Finance team is responsible for designing and implementing financial strategy, cost and debt control, KPI reporting and analysis, product pricing models, strategic deal negotiations, and accounting and tax reporting. As the company scales into new markets and geographies, the Finance function is central to this growth strategy.
In this role, you will support bookkeeping and financial administration processes, working closely with the broader team on day-to-day financial operations. You will own and drive the monthly accounting close process across multiple entities, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. You will own the annual report preparation and statutory audit process, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors. Additional responsibilities include managing VAT reporting and declarations, preparing quarterly and annual regulatory returns, verifying monthly payroll files and preparing annual social cost reconciliations, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs for senior management and the board, managing capitalized tangible fixed assets and running monthly amortization and depreciation schedules in NetSuite, reviewing aging of trade debtors and creditors, reconciling all corporate bank accounts in NetSuite, and participating in process improvement projects. You will be a strong team player who operates cross-functionally and globally, acting as an owner with self-initiative.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified accountant with solid post-qualification industry experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Self-starter who can operate autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with ability to identify, create, and deliver process improvements
- Enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of or experience in the payments industry
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting (CBI/FCA and SFSA)
- Experience with safeguarding regulations and audits
- Experience in a startup environment
- Accounting practice background or SME experience
