Anthropic is seeking a Finance & Strategy professional to own deal velocity and execution processes as the company scales its revenue. You will quarterback complex enterprise deals through internal approval workflows, CPQ systems, and contract management platforms while working across finance, sales, legal, and compliance teams.
Key responsibilities include managing deal execution from quote-building through contract execution; owning and optimizing commercial workflows to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-close; building AI-native tooling with internal teams to scale processes; maintaining visibility on high-priority deals with appropriate escalation paths; collaborating with legal to ensure agreements reflect correct commercial intent; tracking deal patterns to identify bottlenecks; and maintaining deal documentation including approval policies, pricing guidelines, and process playbooks.
You will act as the critical bridge between Sales and supporting functions, ensuring that all commercial workflows navigate internal processes seamlessly. The role requires comfort executing within existing systems (Salesforce, CPQ, contract platforms) while continuously improving those systems. You should have a detail-oriented, process-improvement mindset—noticing manual or error-prone workflows and driving solutions.
Minimum qualifications include experience with CRM systems, CPQ tools, and contract management platforms; excellent communication and stakeholder management across departments; strong project management skills; and a bias toward action in ambiguous environments. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years in deal desk, sales strategy, or commercial operations in high-growth tech; hands-on experience with Salesforce, CPQ tools (Nue, Apttus, Steelbrick), or contract platforms (Ironclad, Docusign CLM); background in subscription or consumption-based business models; and knowledge of enterprise software contract terms and AI business model considerations.
