Anthropic is seeking a Finance & Strategy professional to lead deal strategy and structure for the company's rapidly growing enterprise business. In this role, you'll serve as the critical bridge between sales, finance, legal, and compliance teams, managing complex enterprise deals and building scalable processes that balance growth velocity with financial discipline and risk management. Key responsibilities include conducting sophisticated financial analysis on deals—including growth and margin modeling, discount impact assessment, and profitability analysis—to support data-driven decision-making. You'll collaborate with sales teams to structure deals that meet customer needs while protecting Anthropic's financial and strategic interests, and you'll review and analyze enterprise deals that exceed standard parameters, focusing on pricing structures, contract terms, and financial implications. You'll develop and maintain deal approval policies, pricing guidelines, and exception handling procedures, while creating scalable approval workflows, escalation procedures, and standardized templates. As the primary liaison across functions, you'll ensure smooth coordination and timely approvals throughout the deal lifecycle, evaluate risks in non-standard terms, and maintain comprehensive deal documentation with regular reporting on strategy metrics and performance. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of experience in deal strategy, deal desk, finance, sales strategy, or related analytical roles in high-growth technology environments. You should have hands-on experience building sophisticated financial models, conducting pricing optimization, and structuring complex deals. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential, along with detail orientation, process improvement instincts, and experience with CRM systems, CPQ tools, and contract management platforms. Bonus qualifications include experience at SaaS, cloud, or AI/ML companies with complex enterprise sales cycles; background in consulting or investment banking; familiarity with subscription and consumption-based business models; knowledge of enterprise software contract terms; and understanding of AI business models and their unique commercial considerations.
