Etched is building specialized hardware for AI inference, combining chip design, racks, software, and manufacturing to optimize throughput and latency. The company is Series A-backed by top-tier investors and staffed by leading engineers.
You will be a hands-on Finance Operations specialist, serving as a core execution engine for the finance team as Etched scales rapidly. Reporting to the Finance Operations Lead, you'll be mentored as a founding member of an expanding team, learning to build finance capabilities from the ground up while handling high-volume operational work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and scaling new finance capabilities: budgeting, executive analytics, inventory processes, reporting, and operational tooling
- Designing, improving, and documenting finance processes, controls, and policies across procurement, inventory, forecasting, and order-to-cash
- Leading cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Operations, People, Legal, Talent, and GTM teams
- Owning finance systems and automation, including NetSuite integrations, AI tooling, Ramp workflows, and finance service desk operations
- Supporting monthly business reviews, vendor reconciliations, and company-wide financial reporting and planning
- Acting as a high-leverage generalist, jumping into new challenges and serving as the first point of contact for finance operations
Ideal candidates are early in their career but carry themselves like founding team members—low ego, high ownership, high urgency. You should be relentlessly organized, genuinely willing to do unglamorous work that makes functions run, and an analytical problem-solver comfortable with ambiguity and speed. Background in industrial engineering, operations, finance, or business is natural; bonus experience includes ERP systems like NetSuite, spend tools like Ramp, spreadsheet proficiency, light analytics/BI, or manufacturing/hardware operations.
The role is full-time, in-person in San Jose (Santana Row), with a target Q3 2026 start. Benefits include medical/dental/vision with generous coverage, $2k/month housing subsidy for those within walking distance, relocation support, wellness benefits, daily office meals, and unlimited compute budget subject to ROI justification.
