The Finance Operations Associate will join a lean, highly integrated finance team that manages critical fund flows and financial operations across the business. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and autonomy from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-cycle accounts payable management: invoice coding, vendor setup, KYB (Know Your Business), and payment runs across multiple entities
- Customer funds flow tracking and reconciliation against processor settlements and internal records
- Bank reconciliations across multiple entity accounts with discrepancy flagging and review
- Support for multi-entity financial statement preparation, ad hoc analyses, and monthly close processes
- Financial performance analysis and implementation of operational optimization processes
- Collaboration with Data and Engineering teams to build financial reporting dashboards
- External audit support, third-party requests, and regulatory reporting
- Liaison work with state and local agencies for registrations and tax filings
The role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with all departments. You'll have access to modern financial tools and platforms and will be empowered to build scalable workflows. The environment values execution, ownership, and fast decision-making with minimal bureaucracy.
Required qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or finance at a high-growth startup or trading exchange.
The company culture emphasizes stellar people, real system ownership, fast decisions, and minimal politics. However, the role involves potential nights and weekends due to live sports operations, and requires comfort with ambiguity and self-direction rather than clear processes and explicit guidance.
