Kodiak Robotics is seeking a Finance Manager to build and enhance the financial backbone of a fast-paced autonomous vehicle startup. Founded in 2018, Kodiak has become a leader in AI-powered autonomous ground transportation for commercial trucking and the public sector, delivering freight daily across the southern United States and developing autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
In this role, you will be a key individual contributor across the entire finance organization, supporting FP&A, investor relations, corporate development, strategy, and business operations. You'll play a central role in running and enhancing FP&A processes including monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range planning. You will partner with various business functions to provide financial perspectives and guidance on commercial opportunities, corporate initiatives, and enterprise-wide investments.
Key responsibilities include creating detailed financial models (revenue forecasts, expenses, cash flows, component costs, capital structure, M&A scenarios), producing recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reporting on performance versus plan and KPIs, assisting in developing and implementing an FP&A system, and participating in finance and accounting processes such as quarterly close and public company reporting.
You should have 5+ years of corporate FP&A and finance experience, ideally with at least 3 years at a publicly traded, fast-paced tech company. You'll need advanced financial and business modeling skills, strong ability to analyze complex topics, visualize data, and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a flexible, client-service mentality, strong finance and accounting fundamentals, sharp critical thinking skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to balance careful analytical work with prompt, proactive action.
While initially scoped as an individual contributor role, it is expected to evolve into a team leadership position as the company grows. The position is highly visible and involves collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
