Salary: GBP 70,600 - 83,000 / annual
Monzo is seeking a Finance Data Manager to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role focuses on data analysis and AI-driven solutions for financial and operational insights.
Key responsibilities include:
• Data Translation & Infrastructure: Convert financial and commercial requirements into scalable data assets. Collaborate with analytics engineers to enhance core data pipelines and build downstream reporting functionality.
• Insights & Reporting: Prepare management information, deliver actionable insights, and create data solutions that support business partners in achieving their objectives.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Automate financial reporting processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiencies across the organization.
• Stakeholder Management: Work independently, take initiative, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Required qualifications:
• Technical Data Skills: Solid grounding in SQL and preferably Python. Experience using generative AI to produce data assets. Data visualization tools like Looker and Anaplan experience are advantageous.
• Financial Acumen: Analytical and detail-oriented with experience in financial statements. Strong financial modeling, P&L management, and forecasting skills preferred.
• Commercial Mindset: Commercially minded with ability to translate complex numbers into clear business perspectives and drive action from insights.
• Data & Process Automation: Passionate about automating processes through code and AI, building clean queries and robust data pipelines.
• Adaptability & Execution: Thrive in dynamic, changing environments and navigate ambiguity effectively.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and reliable team player.
