Tilt is a commerce platform transforming how people buy and sell online, with millions of UK users and sellers earning significant income through the platform. The company is scaling rapidly and seeking a Finance Associate to sit at the centre of the finance function. You'll own financial data and reporting that shapes how leadership understands the business. This is not a transactional role—you'll have direct exposure to board and investor materials, input into founder decision-making, and real ownership in building the finance function from the ground up. In your first 0–3 months, you'll become fluent in the ledger and core transaction reconciliations, own day-to-day accuracy, support statutory and management reporting, accounts payable processing, and regulatory compliance, and contribute to ad-hoc analyses feeding directly into business decisions. Beyond 3 months, you'll prepare materials for leadership, board, and investor conversations; proactively flag trends, risks, and opportunities; work across product, growth, marketing, and operations teams as finance's connective tissue; and take on increasing scope as you build context. You have prior experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A roles, ideally in marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or fast-growing startups. You're proficient in SQL (writing queries to pull, join, and reconcile transaction-level data), Excel, and detail-oriented with fundamentals. You're a confident communicator comfortable with senior stakeholders. Nice-to-haves include investment banking, PE, or consulting background; hands-on experience with Xero, Snowflake, or Stripe; marketplace or multi-currency business exposure; GAAP/IFRS familiarity; AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications; and external audit support experience. Tilt offers 29 days off plus bank holidays, birthday off, share options, 3% pension from month 2, unlimited therapy, 24/7 GP access, MacBook and tech budget, gym membership, and free Deliveroo when working late. On-site, 5 days per week from King's Cross office in London.
