Genomics is a science-led transatlantic TechBio company combining large-scale genetic and health data with proprietary analytics to accelerate drug discovery and advance predictive, preventative healthcare. The company operates in two areas: supercharging drug discovery through an AI-enabled advanced genetic analytics platform, and helping people understand their personal risk of common chronic diseases through polygenic risk scores.
The Finance Associate will be responsible for all receivable and payable data entries across multiple geographies and currencies, managing employee expenses, and ensuring all transactions are correctly coded. You will act as the main point of contact for all finance platform queries, including the accounting system, employee expenses, and banking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the financial accounting system with up-to-date and accurate data; managing company travel and approval systems
- Ensuring expense claims comply with policy and are reviewed, approved, and paid promptly
- Ensuring customer invoices are raised promptly and customers are supported in timely payment
- Ensuring suppliers are paid in line with contracted payment terms
- Preparing month-end schedules and journals
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations quarterly
- Managing the banking platform, including transfers, investments, payments, refunds, and reconciliations
- Supporting compliance requirements such as ONS Surveys and US tax matters
- Identifying and driving process improvements
You will also support the team in collating data for R&D tax credit calculations, financial audits, and monthly management reports. The company is in a new commercial phase and expanding functions outside the UK, so this role offers opportunity to grow and develop expertise across different geographies.
The position is hybrid, based in London with 2 days per week in office.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong analytical skills in Excel and Google Sheets with experience working with large datasets
- Studying towards or interested in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with at least a 2:1 classification
