Payoneer, a global fintech platform founded in 2005, is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its Regional Finance Team in Hong Kong. The role supports the finance function across the Asia Pacific region, working with accountants and auditors to ensure accurate financial records and efficient accounting operations.
Key responsibilities include:
**Month-End Closing & Financial Analysis**
Perform month-end closing duties including financial analysis, reviewing the general ledger, P&L, and balance sheet according to US GAAP and local GAAP standards in the Asia Pacific region. Handle accounting and taxation inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Assist with internal and external audit requirements. Experience with consolidation is advantageous.
**Corporate Payments**
Process payment requests with supporting documentation and obtain proper approvals. Handle invoice settlements and expense reimbursements. Upload and reconcile bank balances and transactions. Assist relevant purchasing requestors and the procurement team across the APAC region as needed.
**Financial Projects and Process Improvements**
Participate in finance transformation projects. Define and deliver process improvements across the Finance team, including process design/redesign, identifying time-saving opportunities, and assessing controls and risks.
**Payroll Operations**
Assist with payroll-related work and resolve employee inquiries relating to payroll matters.
**Required Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, or professional accountancy qualification. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge and application of accounting standards such as US GAAP or IFRS. Hands-on knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems. Well-versed in accounting and vendor payment processing procedures. High level of written and spoken English and Chinese. Experience managing the Asia Pacific region or multiple regions.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience with Power BI, Business Central ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Experience in cross-border e-commerce or the online payment industry. Prior experience engaging outsourced bookkeeping teams.
