Salary: USD 65,000 - 70,000 / annual
Packsize is redefining the packaging industry by building technology, designing solutions, and automating processes that propel the sector forward. As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment solutions onsite at customer facilities across the Phoenix area.
You will be a creative problem solver responsible for identifying, analyzing, maintaining, and repairing complex mechanical equipment. Your day-to-day work includes scheduling tasks at customer job sites, troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively using technical drawings and documentation, performing routine maintenance and emergency services, and delivering customer training on product capabilities and maintenance. You will build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a variety of customers while working closely with supporting Packsize team members to provide exceptional service.
Additional responsibilities include continuous learning about customer operational processes and packaging designs, basic clerical and administrative duties (email management, expense reports, travel arrangements, technical report writing), and adherence to all Packsize and customer safety requirements related to exposed moving parts and electricity.
The role requires excellent work ethic, time management, and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. You must be available on-call with frequent overnight travel required. The position is based in Phoenix but involves travel to multiple customer facilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Customer service focus
- Knowledge of Windows platforms
- Effective use of hand tools
- Knowledge of mechanical platforms
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
- Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) experience helpful but not required
- Associates Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel by vehicle or airplane domestically
- Physical capability to frequently move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time
- Ability to move about inside and outside equipment, warehouse, and office space
- Frequent operation of hand and power tools, computers, and office equipment
- Occasional ladder climbing to access high places on equipment
