Anthropic is seeking a Field Marketing Lead for Cybersecurity to lead global field marketing efforts positioning Claude as a trusted AI partner for security teams. This is a strategic role that bridges product marketing, sales, and field operations across multiple regions.
You will own the global cybersecurity field marketing plan, defining how Anthropic reaches CISOs, practitioners, and buying committees across all customer segments. You'll align closely with worldwide sales teams to identify target accounts, build programs that expand footprint in existing accounts, and ensure account teams have the tools and enablement they need.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the global cybersecurity field marketing strategy with clear goals and success metrics aligned to sales leadership
- Partnering with product marketing, solutions marketing, and cybersecurity experts to translate positioning into field programs and campaigns
- Creating playbooks, program kits, speaker guidance, and event recommendations for regional field marketers in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC
- Designing and running flagship cybersecurity moments: executive roundtables, CISO dinners, practitioner workshops, and presence at major industry events (RSAC, Black Hat, Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, Infosecurity Europe)
- Serving as the cybersecurity field lead for integrated campaigns, bringing audience insights and extending global campaigns into regional programs
- Measuring program impact: sourced and influenced pipeline, account expansion, program-level attribution, and ROI analysis
- Acting as connective tissue across Anthropic, coordinating Sales, Campaigns, regional Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Partner Marketing, Partnerships, Events, and Communications
- Maintaining brand integrity with a skeptical security audience: ensuring technical accuracy, focusing on defender enablement and responsible deployment, avoiding fear-based messaging
This is a global role with preference for candidates based in San Francisco or New York. The role requires 25% minimum office presence per Anthropic's hybrid policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working fluency in the cybersecurity landscape (security operations, detection and response, threat intelligence, application security, vulnerability management, cloud security, governance/risk/compliance) with technical depth to engage credibly with CISOs and practitioners
- Track record of partnering with sales teams on pipeline and account expansion, including account-based programs and executive engagement, with measurable results
- Experience across both integrated campaigns and field marketing, with judgment to apply each appropriately
- Global program leadership experience across multiple regions with ability to enable local teams
- Strong influence without direct authority; ability to set direction for campaigns and regional marketers who don't report to you
- Comfort building in ambiguity; ability to develop new playbooks and approaches
- Rigor on measurement and fluency in pipeline attribution with sales and ops partners
- Experience translating product marketing and technical positioning into field programs and campaigns
- Ability to adapt programs across customer segments (enterprise, mid-market, fast-growing startups)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of B2B marketing experience with significant time in field marketing or demand generation for cybersecurity buyers at a security vendor or enterprise technology company
- Hands-on security background (practitioner, sales engineer, or security product marketer)
- Familiarity with AI ecosystem and enterprise AI adoption, including AI's impact on security work
- Experience marketing trust-sensitive or dual-use products where responsible deployment is central
- Existing relationships in security community (CISO networks, analysts, industry groups, event organizers)
- Experience marketing to regulated industries or public sector buyers
- Experience with security technology partners, MSSPs, or global systems integrators
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a field relevant to the role.
