Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking a visionary Field CTO to serve as a high-impact technical advisor for strategic prospects and customers. This role positions you as a peer to C-level executives, translating complex business transformations into scalable technical strategies while championing Process Intelligence, Agentic AI, and Enterprise Modernization.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, aligning their long-term strategic goals with Celonis' technical vision. You'll lead overarching data, cloud, and innovation strategies for the company's largest global accounts using methodologies like Capability Mapping to identify high-value opportunities. A key responsibility is architecting "first-of-a-kind" solutions using emergent technologies like Agentic AI to solve complex enterprise challenges.
You will partner closely with Sales and Value Engineering teams to drive revenue through new customer acquisition and strategic upselling. Acting as a critical feedback loop between Product & Engineering teams and the market, you'll ensure customer voices shape future offerings. You'll develop and deliver customer-facing position papers, assets, and presentations that establish Celonis as a leader in architecture and innovation.
Required qualifications include 15-20 years of relevant experience, ideally as a CTO at a consulting firm, Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture at a major corporation. You need proven ability to present complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders with emphasis on business value. Deep expertise in Enterprise Modernization, EA Methodologies, and Agentic AI is essential, along with technical versatility spanning high-level architecture to hands-on demos.
You should have excellent background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS solutions like Salesforce and ServiceNow. Strong knowledge of at least one ERP (SAP or Oracle) or strong domain expertise in highly regulated industries like Financial Services is required. An MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field is required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Celonis, OCPM, Case Centric Data Pipelines, TOGAF/Zachman certifications, cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP), and ESB/ETL certifications. Experience across multiple domains and industries is a plus.
