Anthropic is seeking a Federal Policy partner to lead engagement with Senate Republicans and shape AI policy at a critical moment in federal governance. This role sits at the intersection of policy strategy, government relations, and organizational leadership.
You will translate Anthropic's strategic objectives into executable federal policy campaigns, advising internal stakeholders on policy positions and developing advocacy strategies that advance the company's mission of ensuring AI systems are developed safely and benefit humanity. The role requires building and maintaining relationships with Members of the Senate Republican conference, identifying policy targets, and aligning them to Anthropic's priorities through substantive, research-backed engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising internal stakeholders to develop public policy positions aligned with Anthropic's mission
- Translating complex policy issues into effective advocacy strategies across multiple issue sets
- Building and maintaining relationships with Senate Republican leadership and staff
- Identifying targets and cementing relationships through proactive, substantive engagement
- Coordinating with the federal affairs team and internal stakeholders across policy, communications, legal, and executive functions
- Driving measurable outcomes and tracking execution against strategic objectives
- Synthesizing political dynamics into clear strategic recommendations for leadership
