Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment, is seeking an Executive Vice President to lead its international business outside the United States. Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, this role will drive international growth, commercial performance, launch execution, geographic expansion, and organizational development across direct markets, distributors, licensing partners, and market access initiatives. The EVP will scale Mirum's established international business through multiple upcoming product launches while building capabilities across Asia Pacific and Latin America. Responsibilities also include leading ex-US launch readiness across Mirum's portfolio; establishing clear performance expectations and KPIs for distributors and license partners; overseeing international pricing architecture and price-corridor execution; aligning regional access strategies with global evidence priorities; and leading, coaching, and developing a geographically dispersed, multicultural leadership team. The successful candidate will partner effectively with US Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, Compliance, CMC, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, Patient Advocacy, and program teams. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (master's or doctorate) preferred - 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including substantial international responsibility - Demonstrated regional or country general management experience with P&L accountability - Experience leading multi-country organizations through matrixed operating models - Demonstrated success launching and commercializing rare disease, specialty-care, or other high-value, low-prevalence products - Experience with international pricing, reimbursement, market access, and launch sequencing - Demonstrated experience evaluating geographic expansion and building new regional, affiliate, or commercial capabilities - Experience in both large global organizations and smaller or emerging biotechnology environments preferred - Broad understanding of international biopharmaceutical commercialization, including regional and country operating models, direct and partner-led go-to-market approaches, pricing, reimbursement, distribution, and compliance - Strong strategic, financial, and operational leadership with ability to connect portfolio choices to regional execution and measurable business outcomes - Demonstrated ability to build lean, fit-for-purpose organizations - Ability to assess market attractiveness, access feasibility, launch requirements, and direct-versus-partner economics across diverse geographies - Executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders, program teams, and enterprise functions without relying solely on line authority - Excellent judgment, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across cultures and organizational levels - Ability to lead effectively through ambiguity, organizational change, growth, and competing priorities - Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered decision making, ethical leadership, compliance, and company core values - Must be located in San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate
