Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling users to trade on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. The platform aggregated $21B in trading volume in 2025 and is positioned as an alternative news source reflecting collective expectations about the future.
In this role, you will own executive community relations for Polymarket, managing escalations that reach leadership, high-visibility cases involving prominent traders and public figures, and sensitive situations where response quality directly impacts platform reputation. You operate at the intersection of product, policy, and community, working closely with Communications, Community, and in-house specialists with significant independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Triaging executive escalations before public visibility, assessing severity, and routing or resolving with speed
- Drafting responses to high-visibility issues on X, Discord, and Reddit, calibrating tone to audience and stakes
- Owning cases involving prominent traders, creators, and public figures from first contact through resolution
- Coordinating with Communications on customer-facing messaging during live incidents, ensuring external messaging is accurate and consistent
- Monitoring community channels for emerging issues and surfacing them to appropriate teams before escalation
- Briefing Product and Policy teams on patterns from escalations and community feedback to inform product decisions
- Closing prominent cases with documented resolutions and clear responses to involved parties or communities
The role requires someone who reads situations quickly, writes well under pressure, makes sound judgment calls in ambiguous situations, and takes community perception seriously. Most escalations won't have established playbooks; you'll need to operate with high autonomy and close every case with clear resolution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years in executive escalations, executive customer relations, or community management at a consumer-facing company
- Exceptional writing skills with sharp instincts for tone; ability to shift register between direct messages and public replies without losing composure
- Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, public-facing issues where response carries reputational weight
- Experience partnering with Communications, PR, or Community teams on coordinated incident responses
- Strong ownership habits: track every case, follow through without being chased, don't consider issues closed until actually resolved
- Comfortable making judgment calls quickly with incomplete information and standing behind decisions
- Plus: Fluency in crypto-native or trading communities, understanding culture, vocabulary, and community sensitivities
- Plus: Experience managing issues on X, Discord, or Reddit at meaningful scale
- Plus: Background at a consumer product with a highly vocal, opinionated user base
