Halter is a fast-growing AgTech company revolutionizing livestock management through virtual fencing technology. The company provides collars and an app that enable farmers to manage cattle movement and monitor herd behavior in real-time without traditional physical infrastructure. Halter is backed by top-tier investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others. You will serve as Halter's primary representative in South America during the company's regional launch, acting as a bridge between early-adopter farmers and the core product and engineering teams in New Zealand. This is a pioneering role requiring deep field engagement and market understanding. Day-to-day responsibilities include: - Deploying Halter with early customers in the field—hands-on, not desk-based work - Building strong relationships with pioneer farmers and understanding their operational needs in depth - Translating field learnings into clear, actionable feedback for product and engineering teams - Educating the organization on South American livestock production nuances, animal behavior, land practices, and regional context - Critically evaluating the product end-to-end and identifying gaps, improvements, and next-build priorities - Ensuring early customers maximize Halter adoption and achieve measurable results - Collaborating with commercial teams to maintain alignment as the business scales - Doing whatever is necessary for Halter to succeed in South America Required qualifications: - Hands-on experience in South American livestock production (non-negotiable) - Passion for animals and the future of regional ranching - Genuine curiosity about technology and how the Halter product works - Strong communication skills to translate field observations into clear feedback for remote teams - Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to reach innovative conclusions - Comfort with uncertainty and early-stage market entry challenges - Fast learning, resilience, and willingness to work hard on unprecedented initiatives - Hands-on, can-do attitude with grit to overcome obstacles - Flexibility for travel (national and international) and weekend work as needed - Fluent English for collaboration with New Zealand headquarters The role offers the opportunity to shape a transformative product in a high-growth company with meaningful impact on sustainable livestock management.
