Nearmap is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers maximize value from Nearmap's Imagery, 3D, and AI products. This role bridges Sales and Product, leading technical engagements across the full customer lifecycle—from pre-sales discovery and solution design through post-sale adoption and expansion. You will lead strategic discovery engagements to understand customer workflows, data ecosystems, and business challenges. You'll act as a trusted advisor, shaping client strategy and solution architecture while building executive-level relationships across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales phases. Key responsibilities include designing and delivering tailored, scenario-based demonstrations that showcase how Nearmap's products solve real customer problems; identifying upsell and expansion opportunities; advising customers on API, offline product, and custom application strategies; and leading integration and onboarding for new customers with hands-on technical support. You will serve as a technical liaison to Product and Engineering, surfacing customer feedback, bugs, and feature gaps. You'll partner with Sales Enablement on training programs, coordinate with Survey Operations to scope custom aerial flights and offline products, and represent Nearmap as a thought leader through content, webinars, and industry events. Mentoring junior Solutions Engineers is also part of the role. This position requires an outgoing, people-first personality with genuine enthusiasm for presenting and demonstrating. You must be comfortable leading difficult conversations with audiences ranging from technical engineers to CEOs, and you should be self-driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with geospatial exposure - 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Civil Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist) combining technical depth with business acumen - Proven pre-sales track record with a history of influencing technical buying decisions and driving customer success - Domain expertise in Engineering, Construction, Property, or Geospatial sectors - Advanced proficiency with APIs, programming (especially Python), and custom web GIS application development - Hands-on experience with geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS - Solid understanding of AI and machine learning and how it applies to geospatial analysis - Experience with imagery analysis, photogrammetry, or remote sensing is a plus - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging audiences from technical teams to C-suite - Strong organizational skills and creative, analytical problem-solving ability
