Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer based in Alberta to serve as the technical authority for the Verkada platform—an integrated, AI-powered physical security and access control solution deployed across 170+ countries with 2+ million devices in the field. You will partner directly with territory account executives to expand Verkada's footprint upmarket into Fortune 500 companies.
In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on Verkada's full suite of products (video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, visitor management) and articulate their value to customers throughout the sales cycle. You will overcome technical objections, design customer deployments, and provide technical assistance to account representatives. You will present solutions to all levels of customer stakeholders—from C-suite executives to loss prevention managers and IT directors—and serve as a product technical evangelist, training partners, customers, and internal teams on the latest Verkada offerings.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel estimated at more than 50% of the time, including both domestic and international destinations to support customer and partner engagements and team collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer with a proven track record working with Fortune 500 companies
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or security field from an accredited university
- Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong background in networking: HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP, and firewalls
- Expert experience in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux systems, Security Surveillance, and Access Control
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industry certifications: AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, CSP
- Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, Python, and other coding languages
- Startup experience
