Sierra is a leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, serving major brands including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank. The company is transforming how enterprises serve customers and grow their businesses through AI-powered solutions.
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer on the Financial Services team, you will be the primary technical partner to sales counterparts, helping to win deals and expand customer relationships. You will own the end-to-end technical pre-sales process, from initial discovery through deal closure. Your responsibilities include scoping customer use cases, articulating business value, designing and demoing Sierra's platform, leading technical and architecture reviews, and serving as the trusted technical expert throughout the sales cycle.
You will work with enterprise customers managing deal sizes ranging from $200k–$500k, moving from first discovery to a working, tailored agent in days rather than weeks. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Agent Engineering teams to drive go-to-market strategy and continuously improve Sierra's agents through customer-driven product development. You'll also develop deep industry expertise in financial services, understanding patterns and winning motions to scale your impact.
Sierra's Financial Services team partners with systemically important banks, neobanks, insurers, and vertically integrated ecosystems to set AI strategies and build modern tools that handle critical customer moments—from mortgage pre-approval decisions to fraud resolution to card replacement. The team is transforming customer experience and making the financial services industry more accessible, human, and affordable.
The company is primarily in-person, based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. Sierra was founded by Bret Taylor (former co-CEO of Salesforce, CTO of Facebook, co-creator of Google Maps) and Clay Bavor (18 years at Google, led Google Labs and Project Starline).
