Omnea is an AI-native procurement platform that helps enterprise businesses streamline purchasing workflows. The company has raised $75M from top-tier VCs (Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Accel) and has achieved double-digit millions in ARR within 18 months, serving global enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. As Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will be a foundational hire on the Sales Engineering team, serving as the technical authority in enterprise sales cycles. You will work alongside Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to win deals with some of the world's largest companies. Key responsibilities: - Own technical discovery and demos: conduct discovery sessions with prospects, direct AI to build first-draft demo environments, and refine them based on domain expertise and customer-specific requirements (workflow quirks, compliance needs, stakeholder concerns). - Drive proof-of-concepts end-to-end: scope and manage PoCs in collaboration with Product and Customer teams, using AI to configure environments rapidly while applying judgment to ensure the PoC actually proves what prospects need to see. - Answer hard technical and security questions: direct AI to draft responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, then validate accuracy against prospect requirements to prevent deal loss or post-signature issues. - Bridge Sales, Product, and Customer teams: translate field insights into product feedback and ensure clean handoffs to Customer Success so nothing is lost between contract signature and deployment. - Build pre-sales toolkit: maintain demo environments, technical documentation, and RFP libraries, using AI to draft and refresh materials as the product evolves, refining based on what resonates with prospects. The role represents a shift in sales engineering enabled by AI: instead of building every demo and proof point from scratch, you specify what prospects need to see, direct AI to build the first draft, and apply uniquely human judgment—does this PoC actually address the customer's IT security concerns, does this demo reflect their approval hierarchy, is this RFP answer technically accurate or just plausible-sounding? Workplace: Hybrid, with in-person expectations Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the New York office. Qualifications: - 3-7 years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, ideally in B2B SaaS - Experience in the modern finance or procurement stack (procurement and AP automation, ERPs, CLMs, GRC platforms) - Comfortable directing AI tools to produce first-draft demos, configurations, and RFP responses, with judgment to catch errors before prospect exposure - Strong technical foundation: ability to learn complex software platforms quickly and answer hard security and architecture questions - Excellent communicator who can simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders (CFO, CPO, CISO) - Proactive problem-solver with troubleshooting instincts and customer-first mindset - Comfortable owning RFPs, RFIs, and IT security questionnaires end-to-end, including technical requirements
