Salary: USD 110,000 - 120,000 / annual
Scotch is building a next-generation operating system for beverage alcohol retailers, combining POS, payments, back office, and e-commerce into a unified platform. The company has raised $48M (including a $20M Series A in 2026) from top-tier investors including VMG Partners, First Round, and Lerer Hippeau, with founders from Skupos (acquired 2023) and Drizly (acquired by Uber).
As Enterprise Customer Onboarding Manager, you will own the end-to-end implementation experience for Scotch's largest customers. You'll manage complex, multi-location POS platform deployments from kickoff through go-live, working across all customer locations. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role combining project management, technical problem-solving, and relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end onboarding for enterprise customers, from kickoff through full go-live across all locations
- Build and manage implementation project plans with timelines, milestones, phased rollouts, and customer responsibilities
- Configure and deploy POS software for multi-location environments (payments, inventory, pricing, reporting, permissions, workflows)
- Lead data migration from legacy systems (product catalogs, inventory, customer records, pricing)
- Coordinate integrations with customer systems (accounting, e-commerce, loyalty) in partnership with Engineering
- Plan and coordinate hardware deployment across multiple stores (terminals, printers, scanners, payment devices, cash drawers)
- Lead remote and on-site training for store staff, managers, and corporate users; build train-the-trainer programs
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer stakeholders, run status meetings, communicate progress and risks
- Identify implementation risks early, troubleshoot issues, escalate technical problems
- Build and maintain enterprise onboarding playbooks, documentation, training materials, and process guides
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, Support, Product, and Engineering for smooth handoffs
- Track implementation progress and go-live readiness across concurrent projects
- Share customer feedback to shape product and improve onboarding experience
Requirements:
- 4-5+ years of experience in customer onboarding, implementation, professional services, or similar customer-facing role, including at least 2 years supporting enterprise or multi-location customers
- Proven track record managing complex implementations with multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines
- Experience with POS systems, retail technology, fintech products, or hardware/software implementations (strongly preferred)
- Experience with data migration and system integrations; comfort with spreadsheets, data imports, and technical teams
- Familiarity with POS hardware (receipt printers, barcode scanners, payment terminals, cash drawers)
- Strong project management skills; experience with project management tools and structured methodologies a plus
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to frontline staff and senior leaders
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live customer environments
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations while keeping customers informed and on track
- Comfortable working independently in fast-paced startup environment
- Willingness to travel for on-site deployments and trainings
- Detail-oriented with strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Experience in beverage alcohol retail or regulated retail environments (a plus)
Nice to haves: Experience with Intercom, HubSpot, or similar customer platforms; background in liquor retail, beverage distribution, or independent retail; familiarity with payments processing concepts (auth, capture, settlement, chargebacks).
