Chalk is a Series A-funded data platform that powers machine learning applications, combining high-performance infrastructure with developer-friendly tools. The company recently raised $50M led by Felicis and serves leading enterprises in fraud detection, identity verification, and clean energy optimization.
As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will own commercial growth and long-term revenue outcomes for Chalk's enterprise customer base. This is not a traditional renewals role—it's a strategic expansion position in a consumption-based ML infrastructure company where revenue growth depends on helping customers identify, launch, and scale high-value production use cases.
You will build and execute strategic account plans that map customer priorities, technical use cases, stakeholders, budgets, and expansion paths. Working closely with Forward Deployed Engineering, Product, and Sales, you'll partner to move customer use cases from early deployment into production and scaled usage. You'll identify new use cases, teams, and business units where Chalk can create measurable value, while building trusted relationships with technical champions, business owners, procurement teams, and executive sponsors.
Key responsibilities include owning post-sale commercial outcomes (expansion, renewal, retention, consumption growth), forecasting expansion and consumption growth with rigor, leading commercial conversations around renewals and pricing, developing deep understanding of each customer's ML infrastructure and business objectives, and surfacing customer patterns and product feedback to leadership.
Success is measured by net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, expansion revenue, consumption growth, renewal execution, forecast accuracy, qualified use-case pipeline, production use-case expansion, executive relationship depth, and customer health.
You bring 5+ years of enterprise GTM experience (Account Management, Strategic Account Management, Customer Success, or Sales), with proven ability to grow strategic accounts through multi-threading, account planning, and use-case expansion. You have background in technical B2B software—ideally infrastructure, data, AI/ML, developer tools, or cloud—and comfort working with technical stakeholders including ML engineers, data engineers, and platform architects. You're commercially sharp, highly structured, direct, accountable, and customer-obsessed. Nice-to-have experience includes consumption-based revenue models, ML/AI/data infrastructure selling, early-stage startup environments, and familiarity with modern ML workflows and production AI systems.
