Camunda is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive II to lead sales efforts in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) public sector. You will own a defined territory of enterprise accounts, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, with support from sales engineering and customer success teams.
In this role, you will build territory and account plans identifying land and expand opportunities, navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees (technical, business, and economic buyers), and execute complex deals with precision. You'll represent Camunda's agentic orchestration platform to both business and technical audiences, tailoring messaging to each stakeholder's priorities. The role involves managing tender processes, maintaining pipeline discipline, and forecasting accurately. You'll partner closely with sales engineering to build technical credibility and ensure smooth customer handoff and adoption post-close.
Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex business processes. The company is trusted by over 700 organizations worldwide, including 9 of the top 10 US banks. Camunda is fully remote and global, recently named a GP Bullhound Top 100 Next Unicorn, 2025 Great Place to Work certified, and a Visionary in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies.
The sales team is tenured, technically curious, and genuinely invested in customer success. You'll operate with significant autonomy and real ownership over your territory, with trust to bring your own judgment to how you build it. This is an opportunity to shape a large and meaningful business in the public sector, where Camunda's capabilities are well-aligned to digitization and automation use cases.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid experience closing enterprise software deals end-to-end in DACH, with a proven track record across multiple full sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to move deals from first meeting to signature without losing momentum
- Comfort navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise environments involving IT, business, and procurement stakeholders
- Experience with complex public procurement procedures—knowing and following processes while influencing them with initiative and creativity
- Comfort selling technical products; experience with process automation, integration platforms, middleware, or similar technical software is a significant advantage, particularly in a public sector context
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; comfort with incomplete playbooks and self-directed prioritization
- Negotiation experience under real pressure, with judgment about where to hold firm and where to flex
- Relationship-building style that positions you as an advisor, not just a vendor
- Developing territory and account planning instincts with ability to orchestrate resources efficiently
