Stratus is a cloud-based platform for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) contractors, providing data-driven solutions across design, fabrication, and installation workflows. This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying Enterprise Account Executive role focused on hunting and closing large deals in the construction and industrial sectors.
You will own your territory end-to-end: prospecting, discovery, business case development, and closing deals valued at $100K–$500K+ with the largest MEP contractors and industrial fabricators. You'll self-source pipeline through cold outreach, personalized email, networking, and referrals—there are no SDRs here. You'll navigate complex, multi-threaded buying committees (CFOs, COOs, Presidents, VDC/BIM leaders, VPs of Operations) and translate operational pain into quantified ROI. You'll partner with a bench of five Solutions Engineers and a customer success organization that sells alongside you. Sales cycles typically run under 90 days. You'll maintain Salesforce discipline and develop competitive intelligence to articulate why Stratus wins against point solutions and legacy processes.
The company is still building playbooks, so you'll thrive if you enjoy shaping process rather than inheriting it. You'll be expected to travel approximately 40% of the time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years as a quota-carrying, full-cycle Account Executive with a documented track record of hitting or beating quota; experience managing larger, complex accounts required (not a first-AE-seat role)
- Experience selling operational, multi-stakeholder B2B software (project management, manufacturing, industrial, or similar) where you built ROI cases and ran value-selling motions, not transactional sales
- Proven hunter mentality and ability to self-source pipeline at enterprise level without relying on brand name or marketing engine
- Success in early-growth environments (Series B/C stage); scrappy, coachable, comfortable building process
- Data-driven approach and enthusiasm for AI tools
- Strong discovery, presentation, and business-case skills; familiarity with MEDDIC/MEDDPICC methodology is a plus
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM
- Willingness to travel ~40%
BONUS:
- Experience selling into construction, contractors, or the built environment
- Prior quota-carrying success at a Series B/C SaaS company
