Stedi is building the first new healthcare clearinghouse in decades, modernizing how healthcare transactions (claims, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, remittances) are exchanged between providers and payers. The company offers a programmable, API-first clearinghouse that replaces legacy, pre-internet systems with modern infrastructure.
You will own Stedi's transaction enrollment operation end-to-end. Transaction enrollment is the process of registering providers with payers to exchange healthcare transactions—currently a manual, toilsome process involving thousands of payers, each with unique enrollment requirements (forms, faxes, PDFs, wet signatures, provider portals). Your mission is to build systems, automations, and workflows that enable seamless enrollment with minimal human intervention.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will:
- Define, support, and execute the enrollment operation: systems, automations, communications, and payer interactions
- Build automations and workflows using modern tools and AI to eliminate toil
- Work directly with customers, internal operations teams, engineering, product, payers, and intermediaries
- Establish and continuously improve Stedi's enrollment playbook across thousands of payers
- Create a content management system of payer-specific enrollment steps and feed insights back to product
- Collaborate with product and engineering to ship requirements that improve the enrollments product and internal tooling
- Define and track key metrics, driving performance to levels not achieved by competitors
- Troubleshoot enrollment issues, solve root causes, and manage customer escalations
You have experience building operational processes and programs, understand where systems break down and bottlenecks emerge, and are excited by compounding incremental gains. You excel at juggling many open threads simultaneously, staying hyper-responsive, organized, and thorough. You have a technical background and love building automations and workflows—you may not be a software developer, but you know how to use tools to improve systems. You have externally facing experience (consulting, support, implementation, onboarding, or program management). You think in systems, intuitively identify gaps during implementations, and articulate them clearly to product and engineering. You are resourceful, self-motivated, self-disciplined, and move with urgency. You do what it takes to get the job done and match the organization's fast pace.
