Apollo.io is a leading go-to-market platform trusted by over 500,000 companies globally. The company provides sales and marketing teams with verified contact data for 210+ million B2B contacts and 35 million companies, plus engagement and conversion tools in a unified platform. Founded in 2015, Apollo has raised ~$250M and is valued at $1.6B, backed by Sequoia Capital and Bain Capital Ventures. As Engineering Manager for Rep Experience, you'll lead one of the largest and most visible engineering teams building the core surface where sales reps do their work: prospecting, account/contact records, task management, dashboards, and revenue-driving workflows. The team is undergoing a major transformation—shifting from a tool reps open to an intelligent system that recommends what reps should do next, using account prioritization, task orchestration, and AI-driven insights. You'll shape how this ambitious shift gets built, hire and develop engineers to execute it, and ensure the team ships rapidly without disrupting workflows that enterprise customers depend on daily. Key responsibilities include: defining team goals and expectations; driving a culture of excellence and learning; improving development and management processes; collaborating with engineering leadership, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software at scale; partnering with GTM teams on customer calls and becoming a deep expert on your domain; and participating in key technical decisions like sprint planning, design, and code reviews. You'll also source and hire strong candidates, help the team manage on-call sustainably, mentor engineers from the technical details, and own sizing, estimation, and technical direction as the technical counterpart to your product lead. Required: 8+ years hands-on software engineering experience; 3–5 years people management (ideally leading senior/staff engineers and managers); strong technical fundamentals, especially in data systems; excellent documentation and process discipline for remote-first execution; compassion and mentorship skills; strategic thinking with willingness to get hands dirty; deep product thinking for your surface area; alignment with Apollo's values of Ownership, Integrity, Curiosity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Fun.
