As Engineering Manager for Property Management, you will lead a team owning core platform capabilities that power property management workflows across TheGuarantors. This includes property and address data models, property-level integrations and data sync, and the services and APIs that downstream product teams depend on for leasing, renewals, and operational tooling.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you are accountable for your team's technical outcomes, not just output. You will own architecture and design decisions, uphold engineering excellence, drive predictable delivery, and develop your engineers while keeping the platform primitives your team owns rock-solid for every dependent team. You lead through technical judgment: driving design reviews, shaping architecture, and bringing deep expertise in databases and distributed backend systems.
Key responsibilities include: owning technical outcomes and delivery for the Property Management team, including architecture, data models, integrations, and production reliability; guiding technical design for core property, address, unit, and operator/company data models; leading integrations and data pipelines with external Property Management Systems; ensuring strong developer experience for teams consuming your APIs; and maintaining on-call and runbook ownership for key property-domain production flows and data correctness issues.
You will own and guide architecture decisions for core data models, ensuring they remain scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business goals. You will provide technical direction for integrations and data pipelines with external systems, including sync flows, mapping, reconciliation, and observability. You balance speed, quality, and long-term sustainability in technical tradeoffs, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and technical debt. You establish and uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
