You will join the Connect team, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager. The Connect product is an AI-powered hub that simplifies sellers' daily operations. The team is distributed between Paris and Bordeaux offices.
As Engineering Manager, you will manage and mentor a team of 4-5 Java developers while maintaining hands-on technical contributions. Key responsibilities include: driving technical excellence through code reviews and design participation; coordinating cross-functional delivery with R&D, product, and design teams; developing talent through onboarding, recruitment, and best-practice establishment; removing technical blockers and enabling team success; and leading team growth with one-on-ones and performance reviews across distributed locations. You'll also participate in AI adoption both in products and internal practices.
Required experience: minimum 5 years of Java development with recent versions, at least 2 years in a team lead or similar management role mentoring developers, proven ability to balance hands-on technical work with people management, track record delivering complex projects in microservices environments, and professional English proficiency.
Tech stack includes Java (recent versions), Spring Framework, SQL, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture. The role is based in Paris or Bordeaux with one day remote work per week.
