Tanium is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers within the Endpoint Team. You will be responsible for building and managing high-performing engineering teams through hiring, coaching, and fostering ownership and impact. Working closely with product managers, security engineers, and senior leadership, you will define the vision and roadmap for foundational components of Tanium's unified endpoint management and security platform, with a focus on customer needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build exceptional teams by hiring, coaching, and instilling a sense of ownership and impact
- Collaborate with product managers, security engineers, and cross-functional teams to define vision and roadmap
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support while nurturing a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture
- Coordinate with other engineering managers on requirements, designs, dependencies, and process improvements
- Lead by example, leveraging technical expertise to raise the bar and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding results
- Work with senior engineering leaders to adjust team composition and create new teams in response to changing business needs
This role is based in one of four hybrid locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; or Emeryville, CA. The position requires strong technical background, people management experience, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced enterprise software environment.
