As an Engineer II - Analytics & Insights (Business Intelligence Developer), you will design and develop dashboards and reporting solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, with emphasis on SSRS, Snowflake, and SQL. You'll build scalable data models, manage report development and enhancements, and deliver production-ready analytics in an Agile environment.
Key responsibilities include: writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for SSRS and Snowflake platforms; translating business and client requirements into technical deliverables; building and maintaining data models using relational databases, tabular models, or cubes; developing proof-of-concept reports and evolving them into production solutions; ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability; collaborating with technical teams on data structures and reporting schemas; participating in Agile sprint planning and delivery; supporting testing, validation, and ongoing enhancements; and researching new BI tools and best practices.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent); 3–5+ years in BI or data development roles; advanced SQL expertise including performance tuning; strong Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS) experience; hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms; knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling; familiarity with Sigma or modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker); ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance; and Agile/Scrum environment experience.
Nice-to-have skills include CI/CD, Git, or DevOps exposure. Soft skills valued: strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, comfort working independently and collaboratively, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
