Salary: USD 63,000 - 70,000 / annual
Octus is a leading global provider of credit intelligence, data, and analytics serving hedge funds, investment banks, management consulting firms, and law firms since 2013.
The Editorial Operations Associate will provide critical support to Octus' editorial team of experienced lawyers, financial analysts, and journalists. Based in New York and reporting to the Senior Editorial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple information streams and building efficient, scalable processes that support the editorial function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing scheduling and tracking of coverage events for major court cases
- Maintaining databases that track key events and companies within Octus' coverage universe
- Liaising with court staff, freelancers, and third-party service providers
- Monitoring third-party content related to performing, distressed, and high-yield companies
- Producing internal and client-facing reports and editorial content such as monthly digests and recaps
- Collaborating with operations and editorial staff to enhance processes and systems that drive content production
This role is ideal for a highly organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and a passion for building efficient processes. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you can take on new challenges and contribute to a high-performing team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Genuine interest in financial news, bankruptcy, and credit markets
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- SQL familiarity is a plus but not required
- Experience with financial data and topics is a plus but not required
