Salary: EUR 37,000 - 40,000 / annual
Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking a Location Manager (Standortleiter) for its Duisburg station. This is a hands-on operations and people leadership role combining site development, team management, fleet oversight, and customer service excellence.
In this role, you will:
• Lead site development and operations: Work with central departments and your team to build out the Duisburg location, ensuring smooth daily operations and implementing company standards.
• Optimize processes: Execute and improve existing operational procedures (e.g., vehicle handovers, returns) and contribute your own ideas for continuous improvement.
• Manage your team: Lead with empathy and clear communication, fostering an environment that promotes clarity, performance, and employee growth. You'll be responsible for recruiting and building a team aligned with roadsurfer's values.
• Collaborate internationally: Work closely with roadsurfer teams across other European locations to share best practices and drive process improvements.
• Oversee fleet and logistics: Maintain visibility over the vehicle fleet, ensure proper maintenance, and coordinate with local service partners.
• Deliver customer service: Leverage product knowledge to advise customers competently and ensure they have a positive roadsurfer experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Completed vocational training or degree in a relevant field, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in car rental, tourism, operations, branch management, store management, or similar roles (career changers welcome)
• Prior team lead experience is a plus, but empathetic communication and ability to create a supportive, clarity-focused work environment are more important
• Strong service and customer orientation with an open, friendly demeanor
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style
• Fluent German and English
• Valid Class B driver's license
