Konfio is Mexico's leading fintech company serving over 70,000 SME customers with innovative financial solutions including lending, credit cards, and payments. The company is seeking a Director of Partnerships to build and scale a new growth engine from the ground up.
In this role, you will design the partnerships strategy as a core growth lever with autonomy to determine where and how to compete. You will transform access to SME ecosystems—distributors, marketplaces, franchises, and technology platforms—into a scalable origination channel rather than isolated alliances. Your focus will be building the value proposition of the Konfio Card within the SME spending ecosystem through negotiations that drive acquisition, activation, and real usage.
You will negotiate with senior and C-level counterparts, structuring agreements that protect Konfio's economics and deliver measurable P&L impact. You'll prioritize with discipline, building an opportunity pipeline and having the judgment to decline deals that don't generate real impact. Acting as a bridge between Commercial, Product, Risk, Legal, and Finance teams, you'll translate each alliance into a solid, executable business model.
You will create Konfio's partnerships playbook—defining the criteria, processes, and standards that currently don't exist. As the channel demonstrates scale and returns, you'll build the team to execute this function. The vision is to evolve from point alliances to a true distribution platform that positions Konfio as the reference financial partner for Mexico's SME ecosystem.

- Preferred: experience building a function or channel from scratch without prior manual or structure
- Desirable: background in fintech, banking, credit, payments, cards, marketplaces, retail, or B2B platforms
- Core skills: senior-level negotiation with C-level counterparts; design of revenue share, merchant funding, co-branding, and co-selling models; analytical thinking for business cases and ROI evaluation; comfort operating in ambiguity with a builder mindset; ability to influence across complex organizations
