This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the global provision lead. You will own the US international components of quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provisions, including NCTI/GILTI, Subpart F, FDDEI/FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, E&P and PTEP tracking, and Section 861 expense allocation. You will design and operate SOX controls over the international provision process, lead preparation of US international tax return workpapers and forms (5471, 8992, 926, and expanding to 1118, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8993), and support US withholding tax compliance. Key responsibilities include: owning outside basis difference analysis and indefinite reinvestment assertions under ASC 740-30; building compliance calendars, data pipelines, and review procedures; driving automation and tax technology adoption; assisting tax planning and M&A teams on US international tax consequences of market entry, entity structuring, transfer pricing, and M&A; monitoring legislative and regulatory developments (OBBBA, Pillar Two); managing outside advisors; and mentoring tax team members. You must have substantial US international tax experience in multinational software/technology companies, combining Big 4 public accounting and in-house corporate tax department experience. Deep technical command of US international tax law, ASC 740 application, and reviewer-level command of relevant tax forms is required. CPA and/or JD required; Master's in Taxation or LLM preferred. You should communicate complex technical positions clearly to auditors, executives, and non-tax partners, and thrive in high-growth, high-ambiguity environments where processes must be built from scratch.
