Babylist is seeking a Director of Product Management to own Registry, the core product and commercial engine of the platform. Registry helps growing families prepare for major life transitions and drives acquisition and monetization across the business.
In this role, you will be the durable commercial and product owner for all Registry experiences, accountable for strategy, vision, KPIs, and quality standards. You will lead a team of 3–4 Product Managers as a player-coach, reporting to the VP of Consumer Product and partnering across the organization.
Key responsibilities include: defining Registry's 6-, 12-, and 24-month roadmap; making bold, step-function product bets while managing risk; driving hypothesis-driven experimentation and outcome-based decision-making; owning the unit economics and monetization model (both 1P and 3P channels); maintaining a high quality bar and craft standards; and building a high-performing PM team.
This is a dual mandate: own Registry with the depth and commercial rigor of a best-in-class product leader, while simultaneously helping Babylist transition into AI-native product development. You will actively use LLMs and AI tools to accelerate from customer insight to validated ideas to business impact, and you will set the standard for AI-enabled product thinking across the function.
You bring demonstrated company-level product leadership with a track record of owning complex consumer products end-to-end at meaningful scale. You have held Principal/Director, Sr. Director, or VP PM roles. You combine strategic foresight, deep customer expertise, commercial fluency, and outcome ownership. You are a force multiplier who brings sharp problem framing and crisp communication that accelerates engineering and design. You have technical fluency (CS background, early-stage PM experience, or self-taught builder skills). You are humble, adaptable, and biased toward action. You have hired, coached, and developed PMs and can build teams that operate above company average. You actively use AI tools in daily work and can decompose problems for AI agents while combining AI-driven speed with human judgment.
