Babylist is seeking a Director of Product Management to own Registry, the core product and commercial engine of the business. Registry is how Babylist helps growing families prepare and feel confident during major life transitions, and it drives both customer acquisition and monetization across first-party and third-party channels.
In this role, you will be the durable commercial and product owner for all Registry experiences. You are accountable for strategy, vision, KPIs, and quality standards. You will lead a team of 3–4 Product Managers as a player-coach, reporting to the VP of Consumer Product and collaborating across the entire organization.
This is a dual mandate: own Registry with the depth and commercial rigor of a best-in-class product leader, while simultaneously helping Babylist transition into AI-native product development. You will be expected to actively use LLMs and AI coding tools in your daily work, decompose problems for AI agents, and set the standard for how the team leverages AI to accelerate from customer insight to validated business impact.
You will take bold bets and push past incremental thinking, sequencing step-function moves thoughtfully. You are the steady advocate for what's right for customers and what compounds over the next decade. You design measurement into product thinking from day one, run hypothesis-driven experiments, and make clean persist/pivot/stop decisions based on evidence.
Key responsibilities include: defining Registry's 6-, 12-, and 24-month roadmap; owning unit economics and monetization models; building and developing a high-performing PM team; setting and enforcing quality and craft standards; and serving as the authoritative voice on Registry strategy across the company.
You bring demonstrated experience as a company-level product leader with Principal/Director, Sr. Director, or VP-level background. You have deep customer expertise, commercial fluency, outcome ownership, and the ability to be a force multiplier for engineering and design. You communicate with extreme clarity, have hired and coached PMs, and are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. Technical fluency—whether from a CS background, early-stage startup experience, or self-taught skills—is essential.
