ClassPass (part of Playlist) is seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to lead consumer growth and engagement strategy. You will oversee the product vision and execution for the ClassPass consumer platform, managing a team of product managers and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, design, marketing, and customer success.
Key responsibilities include defining and communicating a clear product vision aligned with company goals, driving roadmap prioritization using value-vs-effort frameworks, and balancing near-term delivery with long-term strategic investments. You'll oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation through launch and post-release optimization, collaborating closely with engineering to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely delivery.
You will champion user-centric product development by leveraging customer insights, data, and market trends to guide direction. This includes fostering deep understanding of both consumer and wellness business marketplace needs, and partnering with UX and research teams to ensure products are intuitive and efficient.
Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and inspiring a team of product managers to deliver measurable impact, promoting a data-driven, outcome-oriented product culture, and ensuring best practices in product management and documentation. You'll communicate product vision and progress to executive leadership and key customers, build relationships with partner businesses, and collaborate with sales and marketing on successful product positioning and launches.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of product management experience including 3+ years leading and managing PMs. You should have a strong track record building high-quality consumer products, deep experience with consumer mobile apps and growth funnel optimization, strong analytical skills, and sharp product intuition grounded in user feedback and data. Experience with agile, full-stack product teams and modern tools like Notion, Confluence, Jira, and Figma is expected.
