Illumio is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Illumio Insights, a SaaS analytics platform that transforms network traffic data into actionable security intelligence. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle for next-generation security workflows, moving the platform beyond visibility into detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
You will define strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for advanced security workflows within the Insights platform, driving product strategy for threat detection and behavioral analysis tailored to modern security operations center (SOC) environments. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership across multiple teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver capabilities through agile development cycles.
Key responsibilities include collaborating directly with field teams, customers, and strategic partners to gather operational workflow requirements and validate product-market fit. You'll develop the innovation roadmap for advanced analytical models and AI/ML-assisted features that streamline security investigation and triage, and lead product planning for platform integrations with ecosystem tools.
You will own competitive positioning against market alternatives, partnering with Product Marketing to articulate Illumio's unified value proposition. Additionally, you'll build and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, establishing strong PM practices as the organization scales.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of product management or closely related roles (engineering, sales engineering, technical pre-sales) in enterprise security or networking, with 5+ years shipping analytics, detection, or workflow products in network security or cybersecurity. You need 3+ years managing and developing product managers, deep domain expertise in network traffic analysis or security analytics, and a track record of defining and delivering enterprise SaaS products with demonstrable outcomes in user adoption and customer retention.
Experience with data-intensive security products (flow analytics, behavioral detection, SIEM/SOAR integrations, threat intelligence platforms) and established practice of utilizing data and analytics to inform product decisions is essential. You must operate at both strategic and tactical levels—setting multi-year vision while running sprint-level prioritization with engineering teams. The role is based in Sunnyvale, CA headquarters with 5 on-site days per week.
