Ethos is a life insurance technology company transforming how consumers, agents, and carriers access and manage life insurance. The company offers instant, accessible products with no medical exams required, eliminating traditional barriers to coverage. You will own new business lines from zero to scale within Ethos's fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer business. This is a builder and operator role with full accountability for outcomes. You'll take new bets from concept through launch to durable revenue, partnering across product, marketing, sales, engineering, and partnerships. Key responsibilities include: setting strategy and sequencing new business bets; building go-to-market motions from the ground up (positioning, pricing, sales motion, marketing channels); owning unit economics and business case modeling (CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin); identifying and establishing GTM and distribution partnerships; acting as connective tissue across functions to remove blockers and drive alignment; getting hands-on with analysis, narratives, sales calls, and funnel optimization; and championing AI-native workflows across all functions. The role offers significant runway. As you prove capability standing up and scaling new business lines, the natural progression is toward broader general management or product leadership, owning larger portions of the business over time. Required: 10+ years total experience, ideally 3+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment banking, followed by 3+ years in business operations, general management, or a founding role at a high-growth venture-backed company. You must be a builder with a founder mindset, true operator who owns outcomes and gets hands-on, with a track record of delivering results end-to-end. You should have experience building agentic workflows and internal AI tools that drive step-change improvements in team productivity. Strong structured thinking, ability to go deep and zoom out, exceptional communication across C-level and operational details, and sharp decision-making with bias for action and speed.
