Amplify Education is seeking a Director of Product Communications and Special Projects to serve as the strategic operator and connective tissue for a complex, matrixed Product organization of ~400 people. This role combines organizational design, executive communications, and people leadership to drive alignment, clarity, and momentum across the Product function. Key Responsibilities: Communications Architecture & Organizational Rhythm: Design and own the communications architecture across the entire Product team, including CPO leadership touchpoints, multi-day offsites, Product Town Halls, QBRs, and cross-functional alignment moments. You will engineer the information flow of the organization—from Slack communication patterns to planned moments of transparency. Shape the leadership cadence to ensure the CPO's team focuses on high-leverage strategic problems rather than status reporting. Reimagine how the organization convenes through authentic, engaging town halls and ceremonies that surface dependencies, progress, and trade-offs across product suites. Strategic Leverage & Executive Voice: Draft internal memos, leadership-facing decks, and department-wide communications that establish consistent, motivating narratives from Product leadership. Translate complex product, operational, and pedagogical updates into clear executive summaries for company leadership and cross-functional partners. Act as the connective tissue ensuring strategic decisions flow downward without losing context, and ground-level insights flow upward to inform strategy. Special Projects & Surge Capacity: Lead cross-cutting, high-priority initiatives that don't have a natural functional home and would otherwise stall. Drive these complex projects to completion. Culture Carrier & Organizational Health: Serve as a temperature taker for the Product function, proactively surfacing team morale, energy, and engagement signals. Analyze pulse check and engagement data to identify improvement areas and build recommendations. Model and reinforce the behaviors and norms that define how Product works at its best. Build trust across the organization as a trusted, neutral point of contact for concerns and cross-functional friction. People Leadership: Manage and develop a junior team member who supports deck development, research, and communications execution. Set clear priorities, coach in real time, and create stretch opportunities. About Amplify: Amplify helps teachers bring delight and rigor to students every day. A pioneer in K–12 education since 2000, Amplify has developed deep relationships across states and districts by partnering with educators. The Amplify Classroom platform combines curriculum, assessment, and supplemental learning into one coherent instructional system. Requirements: - 8–10+ years of experience in a high-growth environment plus 5 years of increasing managerial experience (Strategy, Operations, Chief of Staff, Program Management, or Management Consulting), ideally in technology, education, media, or content-driven business - Proven experience designing organizational operating rhythms—building meeting cadences, planning cycles, and communication architectures that keep complex organizations aligned - Exceptional deck and narrative skills; ability to build board decks, all-hands presentations, and strategic memos with equal fluency - Experience operating in matrixed, cross-functional environments where influence without authority is the primary leadership currency - Demonstrated people management experience with a track record of coaching and developing early-career talent - K–12 or education context preferred; familiarity with curriculum development, school adoption cycles, or American education system complexity is a meaningful advantage - Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
