Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its novel point-of-care EEG platform. The Ceribell System is deployed across hundreds of community hospitals, academic facilities, and major integrated delivery networks for rapid seizure detection in acute care settings.
As Director of Product, you will lead product strategy and definition across software, hardware, and UI products. This is a strategic individual contributor role reporting to executive leadership, responsible for understanding unmet clinical and commercial needs and converting them into validated product opportunities and business cases.
Key responsibilities include:
**Market Assessment**: Conduct deep market research leveraging conferences, key opinion leaders, expert interviews, and existing product performance data to understand TAM, macroeconomic trends, customer/patient/payor needs, competitive threats, and unmet clinical opportunities.
**Opportunity Identification**: Define new product opportunities addressing unmet needs with significant revenue potential. Partner with Sales, KOLs, and physician customers to identify improvements and new product lines. Develop business cases including pricing and margin analysis, determine resource requirements, and drive go/no-go decisions.
**Roadmap Definition**: Define timelines and milestones for new product development, identify critical decision points, and ensure new opportunities align synergistically with overall company roadmap.
**Drive Execution**: Champion organizational alignment for roadmap adoption. Partner with Product Design on detailed requirements and UI/UX definition. Support R&D, Engineering, and Data Science during development. Serve as strategic subject matter expert and escalation point for major scope trade-offs. Collaborate with Clinical Affairs on clinical study design and evidence generation.
You will work cross-functionally with Product Design, R&D, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Go-to-Market teams. The role is hybrid with 1-2 weeks per month travel for customer engagement, industry events, and headquarters collaboration.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; 8-10+ years progressive experience in product management, product strategy, or management consulting; FDA regulatory pathway familiarity (510(k)); proven cross-functional leadership in fast-paced environments; exceptional analytical and communication skills; product roadmap development experience. MBA or advanced degree highly preferred. Healthcare or medical technology industry background strongly preferred. Comfort with AI tools for research acceleration is valued.
