As Director of Pricing & Commercialization, you will own the complete pricing strategy and commercial execution across project44's product portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to senior management, with responsibility for designing and evolving pricing architecture, managing go-to-market execution, and serving as the internal pricing authority.
Key responsibilities include: architecting pricing models (usage-based, subscription, outcome-linked) for enterprise and mid-market segments; leading product packaging and bundling decisions in partnership with Product; designing AI-powered tools for Sales to enable custom offers and solution selling; running structured pricing experiments and synthesizing results; partnering with Product on feature and product launch monetization strategies; establishing commercial guardrails and deal desk frameworks; building pricing governance processes for approvals and exceptions; aligning with Finance on revenue modeling and ARR impact; maintaining competitive pricing intelligence; and communicating pricing strategy and business cases to executive leadership.
You will operate as a cross-functional leader, influencing Product, Sales, Finance, and executive teams. The role requires navigating competing stakeholder priorities, building credibility with senior sales leadership, and maintaining consistency in pricing while allowing flexibility for deal variability.
The company emphasizes AI fluency across all roles and expects team members to leverage AI in day-to-day work. The position requires on-site presence four days per week at the Chicago headquarters.
