Salary: USD 150,000 - 180,000 / annual
Starface, a cosmetics brand known for expressive hydrocolloid pimple patches and limited-edition collaborations with characters and fashion brands, is seeking a Director of Partnerships, Collaborations & PR to lead the sourcing, development, and management of high-impact partnerships across talent, brands, licensed IP, and experiential moments. You will report to the SVP of Brand and oversee day-to-day relationships with the PR agency.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing partnership strategy and identifying new opportunities across brand collaborations, talent, ambassador programs, retail partnerships, and cultural moments. You'll field and evaluate inbound requests from talent, agencies, brands, and retailers, building and maintaining direct relationships with key partners. You'll support negotiation and structuring of partnership, talent, and licensing deals, including scope, economics, rights, usage, exclusivity, approvals, and deliverables.
Operationally, you'll draft and redline partnership and talent contracts, manage partnerships from signed agreement through launch, administer licensing agreement operations, and maintain a repository of active and past partnership terms and performance. You'll own the collaboration and partnership calendar, sequencing launches and contractual milestones in alignment with retail and brand marketing calendars. Cross-functionally, you'll partner with Brand Marketing, Creative, Social, Influencer, Product, Retail, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure smooth execution.
On the PR side, you'll set strategy and priorities with the agency, manage the relationship day-to-day, track deliverables and press coverage, support preparation of press releases and messaging, and help prepare leadership for media appearances.
You are highly connected across music, entertainment, fashion, beauty, and culture, with strong industry relationships and sharp brand instincts. You balance creative instincts with commercial and operational thinking, are exceptionally organized and deadline-driven, and can manage multiple active deals, launches, budgets, and partner relationships simultaneously. You're a natural relationship builder comfortable working with talent, agents, managers, agencies, brand executives, and senior external partners.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience leading talent, brand, or entertainment partnerships from sourcing and deal development through execution
- Strong understanding of deal and licensing mechanics, including rights, economics, approvals, usage, exclusivity, and deliverables
- Genuine relationships and credibility across music, culture, entertainment, fashion, beauty, and talent circles
- Strong commercial judgment and contract, vendor, and budget management skills; comfortable supporting deal negotiations
- Experience managing or briefing an external PR agency and holding partners accountable to scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Natural relationship builder who can confidently work with senior external partners
- Highly organized and deadline-driven with ability to manage multiple active deals, launches, budgets, events, and partner relationships
- Ability to balance creative instincts with commercial and operational thinking
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable owning day-to-day execution in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and sharp instinct for what feels relevant and differentiated
